Piles, fistula & fissure questions
How do I know if I have piles, fissure or fistula?
Bleeding, pain, itching, a swelling or a wound near the anus can be caused by different problems. Only an examination by a doctor — often a quick proctoscopy check-up — can tell which one it is and how serious it is.
Is the check-up painful or embarrassing?
The check-up takes a few minutes in a private room and causes very little discomfort. Female nursing staff are available for women patients.
Can piles be treated without an operation?
Early piles often improve with diet changes, more water, medicines and sitz baths. Advanced or bleeding piles that do not improve may need laser treatment. Your doctor will advise after examination.
Will fistula heal with medicines alone?
A fistula usually does not heal with medicines alone and needs a procedure. Leaving it untreated can lead to repeated abscesses.
Laser surgery & insurance questions
How long do I need to stay in hospital after laser surgery?
Most patients go home the same day or the next day. Your surgeon will tell you what to expect in your case.
When can I go back to work?
Many patients return to light daily work within a day or two. Heavy work may need a little longer. Recovery varies from person to person.
Is treatment cashless with my health insurance?
We are empanelled with 27 insurance companies. Bring your policy/insurance card, Aadhaar and PAN card and our cashless desk will help with pre-authorisation.
Do you treat patients under the construction workers' scheme?
Yes, facilities under the construction workers' (बांधकाम कामगार) health scheme are available. Call us to check your eligibility and documents.
